Venture Bros. Special Airs August 28th at Midnight

The Venture Bros. Special ‘From The Ladle To The Grave: The Story of Shallow Gravy’ will premiere on August 28th at midnight. According to Adult Swim’s on-air schedule, four episodes will air leading up to the special. Episodes include the season four finale of ‘Operation P.R.O.M.’ and ‘Everybody Comes to Hanks.’

Also making its debut on August 23rd is the Shallow Gravy EP, fans can download the album on iTunes. Tracks includes original and acoustic versions of ‘Jacket’ performed by Shallow Gravy.

Adult Swim: Venture Bros. Panel Video

Released on AdultSwim.com is official footage from the Venture Bros. panel at San Diego Comic-Con. Jackson Publick, Doc Hammer and James Urbaniak grab the mic and drop truth bombs on the Comic-Con fanbase. Venture Bros. panel was recorded on Friday, July 22, 2011 at the Hyatt Indigo Ballroom.

Convention Do’s and Don’ts for Venture Fans

Adult Swim’s cult hit The Venture Bros. was back at San Diego Comic-Con this year. Friday’s panel featured show masterminds Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer along with James Urbaniak, the voice of Dr. Rusty Venture, dressed like it was 1991 and ready to premiere a new music video from band-within-the-show Shallow Gravy. That night, a party Quality Social in San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter featured a set from Flying Lotus and a Venture Bros. costume contest. The next day, Publick and Hammer worked Adult Swim’s ice cream truck.

This was our third year covering The Venture Bros. at SDCC and, during that time, we’ve seen this show that’s filled with superscience, supervillains and pop culture references become more popular. We’ve also learned a few things. With Hammer and Urbaniak slated to appear at Dragon*Con in Atlanta on Labor Day Weekend, we thought we might share a few of these convention do’s and don’ts for fans of the series.

Bif Bang Pow! Venture Bros. Action Figures at SDCC

Entertainment Earth and Bif Bang Pow revealed new Venture Bros. 3-3/4″ scale action figures at San Diego Comic-Con. The prototypes on display include Brock Samson, Dr. Mrs. the Monarch and Hank and Dean Venture. The figures are about the same size as Star Wars action figures and come with an assortment of accessories and vehicles. These new figures are prototypes and no release date has been announced. Also on display are the previously revealed 8 inch retro-style action figures (SPHINX Brock, Molotov Cocktease, Dr. Henry Killinger, Billy Quizboy) and the Rusty Venture convention exclusive.

Bif Bang Pow! produces first-rate collectibles for such popular properties as Dexter, Lost, Californication, The Venture Bros., The Twilight Zone, The Big Lebowski, and Flash Gordon.
