Venture Bros. Season Five to Premiere in 2013

Jackson Publick writes to Mantis-Eye with news regarding the Venture Bros. Season 5 premiere.

Things are moving briskly over here at Venture Central/AstroBase/Titmouse. The first episode just shipped to Korea. But you’re wrong about one thing–it doesn’t take nine months to animate overseas. Nine months is more like the time it takes to complete an episode from initial design to final edit, so it includes pre-production. Actually, it’s more like ten months, since we began design on the first episode the first week of the new year, and we’ll be delivering it to the network in early October. According to our schedule–and assuming we keep to it–all ten episodes will be completed and delivered by the end of January. Which is roughly when we’re supposed to premiere the fifth season.

Mantis-Eye adds that Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer will be making convention appearances at San Diego Comic-Con, Dragon*Con and New York Comic Con. There is also a possibility that the trailer for the Venture Bros. Season 5 will be revealed at these conventions.

Shallow Gravy’s “Jacket” Music Video and Five-Track EP Available via Digital Retailers Starting Aug. 23

See the Venture Family as you’ve never seen them before: in a 15-minute documentary-style animated special, The Venture Bros.: From The Ladle To The Grave—The Shallow Gravy Story, premiering Sunday, August 28 at midnight (ET, PT) on Adult Swim. Follow the meteoric rise, the equally meteoric fall, and the decidedly un-meteor-like second coming of the most important band Hank Venture, Dermott Fictel and H.E.L.P.eR. robot have ever been in: Shallow Gravy. If you’re hungry for rock, then open wide, because here comes a ladle of heavy metal fire and metaphoric meat drippings.

A marathon of Hank and Dermott episodes will air from 9:30pm – midnight (ET, PT) on August 28th followed by this new 15-minute behind-the-music mockumentary at midnight (ET, PT) on Adult Swim. The Venture Bros. is created and directed by Jackson Publick and written by Publick and Doc Hammer, both of whom also provide voices for the series. The Venture Bros. is being animated by Titmouse, Inc.

In anticipation of the special’s debut on Adult Swim, starting August 23, fans of The Venture Bros. can download the five-song Shallow Gravy EP featuring different reinterpretations and remixes of the band’s smash hit “Jacket” plus a music video via digital retailers. Then, on Monday, August 29, just one day after The Venture Bros.: From The Ladle To The Grave—The Shallow Gravy Story airs on the network, fans can check back with digital retailers and download the full uncensored episode to own.

Venture Bros. Special Delayed – August 28th

According to San Diego Comic-Con, the 15 minute Venture Bros. Special “From The Ladle To The Grave: The Story of Shallow Gravy” will premiere on July 22nd at SDCC. The special will later air August 28th on Adult Swim and not on July 24th as previously bumped on the network.

Venture Bros. Special Premieres July 24th

New bump reveals upcoming premiere dates of shows on Adult Swim. 2011 premiere dates include Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Childrens Hospital, Mongo Wrestling Alliance, NTSF:SD:SUV, Venture Bros. Special, Squidbillies, Robot Chicken and two mystery shows in October. The Venture Bros. Special is scheduled to premiere July 24th to coincide with the events at San Diego Comic-Con.

New Venture Brothers Premiere Monday Online

After Sunday’s big premiere of the Venture Bros., fans without cable or viewers in other countries have been eagerly awaiting news of the episodes being released online. According to Adult Swim‘s online schedule, the new episode of the Venture Brothers “The Diving Bell vs. The Butter-Glider” will air Monday, September 20th on AdultSwim.com. Fans can also download the premiere episode on iTunes.
