The Venture Bros. Return September 12th

Venture fans have been eagerly awaiting news of the second half of the Venture Bros. Season 4 since “Pinstripes vs. Poltergeists” aired in December. Online rumors stemming from an Adult Swim bump in January suggested that the second half would premiere on August 22. Jackson Publick posted on his Live Journal blog that “they got a later start on these episodes than originally intended.” Speculations of a September premiere date arose when Adult Swim posted their Summer television schedule online last month. The Venture Bros. at San Diego Comic-Con 2010

Released this week on Comic-Con.org and BifBangPow.com are details of convention programs featuring the creators of The Venture Bros., Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer. Along with convention appearances and signings, Venture fans can get exclusive Bif Bang Pow! action figures at the Entertainment Earth booth at the event!

On Friday, July 23rd at 4:30 PM, Adult Swim will have a joint writers panel featuring Robot Chicken, The Venture Bros, and Metalocalypse. Show creators Seth Green, Matt Senreich, and Tom Root (Robot Chicken), Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer (Venture Bros), and Brendon Small (Metalocalypse) to discuss their original series, screen sneak peeks, and answer questions. Jackson Publick Answers Viewer Questions

Jackson Publick added a new blog entry to Publick Nuisance yesterday. Entitled A Bold New Day Dawns, the post answers fan questions about Season 4.2, DVD release, Comic-Con and VB toys. Jackson touched on some of the frustrations producing the show and talks a bit about the character development of Hank & Dean this season. Venture Bros. fans will be delighted to hear that the season finale is being rewritten as an Hour-Long Extravaganza featuring new and recurring characters. LIVE Emergency Venturecast – ‘Self-Medication’

James Urbaniak just tweeted that the audio track for tonight’s episode of The Venture Bros. is damaged. He adds that the show will be voiced LIVE on the air for both East and West Coast audiences. Tonight’s episode entitled ‘Self-Medication‘ guest stars John Hodgman, Patton Oswalt, Brendon Small and Seth Green, making this a curious situation for the gang at Astro Base GO!. With Doc Hammer’s arrival at the sound stage, Urbaniak seemed confident that the team could pull off the live Venturecast, posting Twitpics from the sound booth.
