Venture Tweet Up at Comic-Con 2010

The Venture Bros. Blog held its first annual Venture Tweet Up at San Diego Comic-Con 2010. The Tweet Up was recorded as a fan discussion with guest speakers from Twitter. Speakers included Kezia Anne Chuaqui and Alma Balderas; Robert Ring from the Sci-Fi Block; Patrick McEvoy and Chandra Free from Archaia Comics; Liz Ohanesian and Shannon Cottrell from LA Weekly. In the podcast, we talk about the Venture Bros. toyline, character development, unanswered questions and the season four story arc. Theories and spoilers! Venture Tweet Up was recorded on Thursday, July 22, 2010 at the Yard House in Downtown, San Diego.

The panel comprised of the creators of the animated series, Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer with special guests, actors James Urbaniak and Patrick Warburton. This panel was recorded at the Indigo Ballroom at the Hilton Bayfront Hotel in San Diego on Saturday, July 24, 2010.

 


New Venture Brothers Action Figures Set Revealed

Bif Bang Pow! and Entertainment Earth debuted a new set of officially licensed Venture Bros. action figures at San Diego Comic-Con. The new set includes Dr. Orpheus, Phantom Limb, Dr. Girlfriend and Hank Venture! Also on display at the Entertainment Earth booth were the first set of action figures, Henchmen 21 and 24, the Monarch, Dr. Venture, Brock Samson and Dean Venture. Fans could also get a close up look at Bif Bang Pow’s Venture Bros. bobble head series featuring Brock Samson, the Monarch, Dr. Mrs. the Monarch and Dr. Orpheus. Fans attending the convention could purchase the all six figures from the first set at the Entertainment Earth or Adult Swim Booth. Jason Lenzi of Bif Bang Pow! says that the action figures have been well received by fans and are among the top sellers at the booth. At Comic-Con, Entertainment Earth is located at booth #2343 and Adult Swim at #3351. Get your figures today!

 

Venture Bros. Comic-Con Exclusives by Adult Swim

Adult Swim Shop has exclusive t-shirts and prints available at San Diego Comic-Con 2010. Available at the Adult Swim booth are Venture Bros. convention posters measuring 24″ x 24″, posters are limited edition with a run of 200 prints only. Also available at the booth is a exclusive SDCC S.P.H.I.N.X. t-shirt in brown! The S.P.H.I.N.X. graphic is printed on an American Apparel t-shirt and is available is a variety of sizes. Also available at the Adult Swim booth are Bif Bang Pow’s Venture Bros. action figures, individually priced at $20. At Comic-Con, The Adult Swim booth is located at booth #3351.

On Thursday, July 22nd, Adult Swim Shop hosted a silent auction at the Adult Swim booth for three exclusive Venture Bros. production art pieces. Production art from the Venture Bros. included “Rusty’s Escape” from Powerless in the Face of Death, Brock’s “O.S.I. examination” from Mid-Life Chrysalis and a production drawing of Henchmen 21. The silent auction for the three production drawings started at $1 and throughout the day convention attendees could bid on the production art. Announced later that day at 5:00 p.m was the winner of the silent auction. With a winning bid of $450 for the three production drawings were autographed by Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer. Adult Swim painted this mural on the side of a restaurant on the corner of Fifth Avenue and Island in Downtown, San Diego. With Comic-Con just a day away, the Gaslamp District has transformed into pop culture mecca, with welcoming store fronts proudly displaying comic related goods. It’s convention season and you can smell it in the air! According to Adult Swim‘s Sweepstakes page, this mural will also be this year’s SDCC exclusive design for T-shirts and posters.
